Jamaican Patois language comprises words of the native languages of the many ethnic and cultural groups within the Caribbean including Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Amerindian, and English along with several African languages. Patois & Mainstream Reggae and Dancehall music has helped to bring Patois to the world, but it’s more than just slang or creole.
In 2007, I made the decision to loc my hair. Locking would allow my hair to grow in it’s natural state, and would allow me to have a hairstyle that was essentially low maintenance.
